ICEL CONFIRMS ITS SOCIAL COMMITMENT WITH DONATIONS OF ALMOST 400 THOUSAND EUROS TO THE COMMUNITY AND EMPLOYEES AFFECTED BY THE FLOOD - Lugo (Ra), June 18, 2023
ICEL scpa, a leader in the electric cable manufacturing sector, has always recognized that people are the true value of the company and has historically been close to the territory it inhabits. In a tangible expression of solidarity and responsibility towards the area affected by last May's flood, ICEL, despite significant damage to the company itself, announced today a donation of 184 thousand euros in favor of 30 families of its employees affected by the flood and has granted a contribution of 215 thousand euros to the Union of Municipalities of Bassa Romagna. This will be used for the purchase of equipped vehicles for the local Civil Protection, thus demonstrating its dedication to supporting post-flood reconstruction and facing possible emergencies. More than a month has passed since those terrible moments that saw our territory as the protagonist of a devastating flood, witnessed by all. The emergency phase has now ended, but our area has been deeply marked and now is the time for the reconstruction of people's lives, businesses, and local resources. We too were heavily affected with significant material damage and production stops, but we have restarted thanks to the precious work of our Associates and employees and the support of suppliers and clients. ICEL has always been close to and supported the territory where it operates, and aware of the current needs, we have decided to donate 2x1000 of our turnover from the month of June, for an estimated amount of over 100,000.00 Euros until the end of August. We are confident that this gesture of solidarity, accompanied by the image and slogan "RISE UP TOGETHER", which will be visible on the packaging of all our cables in coils and on reels, will translate into concrete actions and projects for our territory in which we will take part.
