Minimum installation and handling temperature: - 25 °C
Maximum operating temperature: 85 °C on the conductor if in a protective installations.
Minimum usage temperature: - 40 °C only if the cable is not subjected to shocks, vibrations, movements or other mechanical stresses. If the cable is operated at a constant current and so is not subjected to expansions and contractions due to the conductor temperature variations, it is possible to be used even at lower temperatures.
Maximum short circuit temperature: 200 °C on the conductor (for maximum 5 seconds).
Minimum internal bending radius:
For free movement: 4 times the greatest overall dimension if less than 12 mm; 5 times if between 8 and 12 mm; 6 times if greater than 12 mm.
For fixed installations: 3 times the greatest overall dimension if less than 12 mm; 4 times if greater than 12mm.
For repeated reeling: 6 times the greatest overall dimension if less than 20 mm; 8 times if greater than 12 mm.
Maximum tensile stress: 1,5 kg/mm² of the conductor cross section.
Current carrying capacity: see EN 50565-1 standard and CEI-UNEL 35024. For cross-sections 1 mm² 10 A
Guide to Use:
Particularly for use in fresh water up to 10 m depth and a maximum water temperature up to 40°C such as the connection of submersible pumps or similar applications. Not suitable for under-water power transmission or installation in a watercourse, or where it is possible that mechanical damage might occur and cause a hazard.
Indirect underground installation is allowed provided that there is mechanically protection of the cables.
H07RN8-F cable is manufactured according to the standard EN 50525-2-21.
It is the only cable that the installation standard CEI 64-8 at section 702 allows for installation in swimming pools and fountains.
With reference to the standards, and unless there are no instructions or indications to the contrary, this cable type is also suggested for use with submersible pumps.
Further instructions and guidance for use are given in the EN 50525-2 standard.
All the above cables are to be used only for electrical power transmission and to be installed only by skilled personal.
The cables H07RN8-F are "flame retardant on a single vertical cable test" according to the test EN / IEC 60332-1-2 as indicated in the EN 50525-2-21 and EN 50525-2-81 standards.
The cables H07RN8-F do not need the RoHS conformity declaration as they fall out of the scope of the directive.
These cables may been used with electric/electronic equipment that are called up by the directive as they satisfy the RoHS requirements.
